New website: Development-related degree programmes in Germany

The new website agep-info.de of the German Association of Postgraduate Programmes with Special Relevance to Developing Countries (AGEP) provides among other things a comprehensive list of Master’s and PhD programmes offered at German universities in development-related areas, many of which are funded by the DAAD.

AGEP, an umbrella organisation of development-related postgraduate study programmes in Germany, hopes to establish itself as the central point of contact for young professionals from developing and threshold countries. Its new website is the first step in this direction. “Our goal is to present Germany as an attractive place to study to rising professionals from the developing world,” says Network Coordinator Robin Pass, who created the website. “The site is designed to give them all the information they need to get started.” The website provides information about the programmes as well as useful information on how to apply and about living in Germany.

agep-info.de is also a great resource for both current and past students of the development-related postgraduate courses programme. Students and alumni alike can access information regarding events  and get in touch with the AGEP group on the Alumniportal Deutschland, the place to go for networking and engaging with other experts.
