It’s time to get the Millennium Express rolling with its first workshop since the anniversary conference in Bonn one year ago. The event, hosted by the Technische Universität Dortmund and the DAAD, will be held 21-22 June in Dortmund. The kick-off workshop will focus on strategies and solutions for countries where resources are scarce. It is still possible to register for the event.
The workshop, which will be held in English, is being organised by the students of the Master’s programme in Spatial Planning for Regions in Growing Economies (SPRING) at the Technische Universität Dortmund. Titled “Gearing towards Community Resiliency, Addressing the Scarcity of Productive Resources”, the two-day event will give participants the opportunity to talk about their experiences in the field and begin to formulate strategies for effective and flexible resource management. The participants, which include students, doctoral candidates, researchers, environmental and urban planners, government representatives and members of the business community, will address issues concerning
- Natural resources
- Sustainable energies
- Land management
The workshop will serve as a platform for discussion and lively exchange. Those interested in attending are requested to register directly with the organisers.
